This blog is dedicated to the people, places and moods that affect my evolving love of music. I post new music as I find it, in any style, as long as it makes you bob your head and stomp your foot.

Off the Diamonds Eyes album. My favorite song from my favorite album by these guys. Weird clip, kinda creepy and kinda cool at the same time.

Ratatat + Bjork
Ratatat took Bjork's Wanderlust and made it their own. I wouldn't call it a cover because it's just completely different from the original version.

Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker
Arguably one of my favorite local bands eve, straight out of toronto. These guys have a huge sound for just two guys. This track is the first song off their first full length album, Questamation. It's called Cloudboy. If this is any indication of the direction they're going in, I hope theres alot more to come.

Nothing like a good acousctic session. No effects, no editing, just real musical talent shinning through.

Cover Stories
Songs are constantly being re-done, remixed and revamped by future generations. Sometimes a cover can add a new a twist to an old classic, help you remember a forgotten gem or completely ruin a perfectly good song. Sometimes they're popular songs, other times they're a little more obscure. The song "John the Revelator" was reworked by Depeche Mode and released on their 2005 album Playing The Angel. The original dates back to the 1960-1970s by Edward James Son Jr. aka Son House.

Karkwa-Le Bon Sens
Karkwa is an amazing band straight from our back yard. This french Montreal band was completely unknown to me until I heard this song on a friend's iTunes. The song Le Bon Sens is from their album "Les Chemins de Verres".
